April Fave: Keep Cool Soothe Phyto Green Shower Cleansing Water

Giving you this week’s blog post about a skincare favorite of mine during the month of April. It’s a show stopper, a spotlight stealer. It’s the Keep Cool Soothe Phyto Green Shower Cleansing Water!!

I’ve known about the brand since last year and hadn’t joined in on the bandwagon until this year. I bought my first ever Keep Cool product from StyleKorean a few weeks ago and got their cleansing water which was on sale. Let me just say that it is one of the best purchases I’ve made and was worth breaking my no-buy for.

Since this is my first product from Keep Cool let me share some few tidbits about the brand itself.

Keep Cool is a fairly new brand in the kbeauty world and is making headlines due to its modern, cool life-stylized skincare. Their products are a combination of well thought ideals and “natural ingredients” developed by the brand’s special technology and with their Nordic style of branding and design, they are able to come up with products that can compete in the overly saturated world of skincare.

They offer three different lines targeted for different skin concerns: Dry, dull and sensitive skin types or condition.

A brand that gets the aesthetic of modern youth while sticking to the basics of natural skincare is a brand worth following.

Did I mention they’re cruelty-free too? Hello, yes please, I’m here for that!

Now, let’s get to the review!

🏖️Notable Ingredients:
🌞SOOTHERS: Centella Asiatica, Green Tea Leaf, Honeysuckle fruit extracts. Rosemary Leaf extract protects skin from free radicals and has antiseptic properties. Skullcap extract has great anti-inflammatory benefits as well as antioxidant and brightening properties.

🌞ANTIOXIDANT: Bamboo Extract which has silica that allows faster mineral absorption and improves collagen production. Japanese Knotweed extract is a great source for reservatrol a known antioxidant that helps with anti-aging.

🌞 BRIGHTENING: Licorice Root Extract

🌞 HYDRATORS: Butylene Glycol

🏖️Claims:

🌞Removes makeup and dirt while soothing and moisturizing the skin without any irritation.
🌞Has a pH level of 5.6 keeping the skin balanced out.

🏖️ Impressions:
🌞It was love at first pat. It has this thin syrup kind of texture that you would not expect in a cleansing water. Although it has that kind of consistency it isn’t sticky at all, which if compared to my The Saem Green Tea Cleansing Water that felt sticky after using it.
🌞TBH, I did not use this as a cleansing water at first, I used this a hydrating toner because it was just that hydrating. I took it with me all the time by the beach and its size is perfect for a simple hand carry. My skin tends to get dry after swimming and soaking under the sun so I just pat this on, doing 2 layers and all is good. I also use this for my arms when I feel they’re a little bit parched, I just pat this on and boom instant hydration.
🌞I am also prone to some inflammation around my nose after I swim and true to its name it really does soothe the inflammation bringing it down to my normal skin state. It also reduced some redness from mild sunburns on my cheeks and on my shoulders.
🌞It takes off dirt and oil really well. At night, when I’m lazy in doing a double cleanse, I wipe this on with a cotton pad and I can see how effective it is. I didn’t wear makeup while on vacation so I haven’t tested this with removing makeup but I will once I go back home. What I love most about using this as a first cleanse is it doesn’t leave my face feeling all overly cleansed and dry but it leaves it all supple and moist and hydrated. I was totally in awe because my previous cleansing water did the exact opposite for me.

I have been on vacation for a little over a week and I am already halfway through the 100ml bottle and I’m just sad to let it go. I might buy it again the next time it goes on sale at Stylekorean or Jolse.

Overall, I really love this as both a cleansing water and a hydrating toner. It hits all the right buttons I want and need in a toner/cleansing water.

And while I’m by the beach I took advantage of the clear waters and used my GoPro to take some fun shots featuring the Soothe Water 😉
